The Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps is recruiting drummers for the 2011 marching season! Do you have marching percussion experience and are itching to get back in a line? Did you always WANT to play drums in a marching band but never had the opportunity? Well here's your chance! You must be able to read music and be willing and able to try any instrument in the line -- from cowbell to bass and back again! If you want to have more fun than you ever thought possible in a band uniform, if you want to bask in the glory of deafening cheers and applause from parade-goers ten deep in cities up and down the East Coast (and Canada!), then you need to be a part of the award-winning drumline of the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps, the hearbeat of the best damn band in the world!
Email bacdrumcapt@gmail.com for more information! The BAC Drumline wants YOU!
Whether you're gay, straight, or somewhere in between, the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps wants you!
We are an inclusive organization welcoming musicians of all persuasions and all levels of ability. No auditions required. We do require that all musicians be able to read music.

| Marching Band | |
| As a marching band, we perform many events annually, from the Gay Pride Parade in Manhattan, to Gay Pride celebrations in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Washington D.C., Long Island, New Jersey, Boston, Rochester, and Montreal. The band has also marched in other noteworthy parades, such as the 200th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, the Welcome Home parade for Operation Desert Storm, and President Obama's inaugural parade. The marching band includes a precision flag team, twirlers, and flag and banner carriers.

| Symphonic Band | |
| As a symphonic band we perform several concerts each year in venues ranging from local schools and churches to Carnegie Hall. The fall season starts in January. Check our calendar for specific rehearsal dates. Rehearsals are generally Monday evenings from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. We accept all classic wind ensemble instrumentation - and sometimes the not-so-classic (ever see a chimbasso?)
